JCL Credit Leasing Partners With DirectD To Boost Smartphone Access And Drive Circular, Low-Carbon Innovation In Malaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Nov. 24, 2025 — JCL Credit Leasing Sdn Bhd, a Tokyo-based financial services group, has announced a strategic partnership with DirectD to expand affordable smartphone access across Malaysia. The collaboration combines JCL’s consumer-finance expertise with DirectD’s nationwide retail presence to lower barriers to device ownership and advance circular-economy practices.
The partnership will introduce flexible financing options that enable Malaysians to own, subscribe to, or upgrade to high-quality smartphones on transparent and manageable terms. Both companies aim to improve digital inclusion, particularly for underserved communities while reducing e-waste through refurbishment and responsible recycling.
