Food charities call for urgent donations as the number of organizations and people struggling to afford food soars due to the lack of financial resources. With the highest gratitude and a big heart, JCL Credit Leasing had partaken in food donation to orphanage homes.
On 14 February 2024, the CSR team of 2 volunteers has been instrumental in assisting the distribution of food to orphanages. Donations were held among the orphanage community around Klang Valley. At this time, 3 homes had been selected for this charity event. About 115 packs of food have been distributed to the orphanage homes.
Pusat Jagaan Kasih Murni, formerly known as Rumah Kasih Harmoni, located at Taman Keramat consists of 25 female orphans. Two caretakers from diverse backgrounds, who share a close and kind-hearted bond with the children, watch over the children ranging from 1 to 12 years old.
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary, located at Taman Ayer Panas is a huge home which consists of 55 orphans whom are made-up from the Chinese and Indian communities. The orphanage is overseen by 5 caretakers, who are responsible for all of them ranging between 2 years old to 19 years old. Most of the kids are energetic and loving. The CSR team had a big opportunity to visit them to play and study together during this school break.
Pusat Jagaan Amal Asyura, located at Sungai Buloh consists of 15 male and 20 female orphans that are overseen by 4 caretakers. The orphans are separated into 2 homes by gender. Some of the orphans that were located in the orphanage are siblings. During the school break, our CSR team managed to spend time with some of them.
After donating food to the orphanages, the CSR team had a chance to play with the kids, which involves jumping and clapping to generate excitement and happiness among them. It was a great experience for JCL Credit Leasing to take part and to support this event on a monthly basis. Since the charity was accomplished during the school holidays, this allowed us to meet with the kids and play. It was heart-warming to see that the kids happily welcome JCL to their home.
It is a great pleasure to have this opportunity to bond with the kids. Not only are their food needs met, but they also had the opportunity to get advice, support connect with other services such as budgeting advice, advocacy, family services, and learning about education and employment support.
We took pictures to remember the great times spent with them. The CSR team hope that the children thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent together.
